Successful inaugural SBC Summit Rio brings together more than 3,000 executives of the games of chance sector

The event

The SBC Summit Rio is a great place to discuss the sector's keyissues, addressing vital topics such as regulations, marketing, adapting products to the local market, partnerships between operators and the media, integrity in sport, data rights management, sponsorship strategies advertising in Brazil, influencers, Big Data.

The event featured talks by various personalities from the sector, which is undergoing changes and is closely following the regulatory process, as well as more than 3,000 representatives and 900 operators.

The conferences

Day 1 consisted of 2 stages featuring leading figures from the gaming industry.

Yesterday Wednesday 6th, the conference was attended by André Gelfi, from the Brazilian Institute for Responsible Gambling (IBJR), Fellipe Fraga, from Estrela Bet, Andreas Bardun, from KTO and other personalities involved in the industry.

An exclusive keynote on High Performance Strategy counted with the top presence of Zé Roberto, Speaker, Former Footballer & Betsson Brand Ambassador who shared his knowledge, directing and offering strategic tools for teams and collaborators to achieve the maximum level of performance.

International operators: How to make headway in Brazil was another important conference moderated by Jon Moss, Director 34 Consulting,  who spoke about the international brands that are expressing interest and asked speakers about the key challenges of entering in Brazil.

From SoloAzar, we share some statements on the matter:

Maxim Tsaryk, Head of Brazil, GROWE (Parimatch brand franchisee) said: “Brazil is probably the market with the highest competition globally.”

Alexandre Fonseca, CEO Brazil, Superbet, declared: “A good product localization is actually a matter of winning in this market. When we talk about product localization is not just translation, but also the importance you give to the individual markets, you know? How deep you understand the Brazilian sports. You know, you have a country with more than 1000 football matches played for a year which is not something common around the world, so you need to actually have a good coverage of those matches”.

Andreas Bardun, CEO KTO Group: "We are basically catering for the Brazilian market because if there’s something they like is their own football games: Brazilian football. So there has been a challenge trying to work on the training to be more localized with the Brazilian market. And I think that is one of the reasons why we´ll succeed in this market”.
